Lunar New Year Festival: Welcome the Year of the Horse!
Saturday, Feb. 21, 9 AM – 4 PM
Ring in the Year of the Horse with a lively Lunar New Year celebration at Wenham Museum! Families are invited to gallop into the fun with hands-on activities, cultural traditions, and interactive experiences throughout the museum. We’re excited to partner with the Chinese Culture Connection and the Wakefield Lions to help bring Lunar New Year traditions to life.
Watch a Lion Dance video, interact with a lion costume, and learn the basics of mahjong through a live demonstration. Kids can enjoy festive crafts, crack open fortune cookies, and take in the sights and sounds of the Lunar New Year. Boba tea will be available for purchase to add an extra treat to your visit.
This joyful festival offers a fun, welcoming way for visitors of all ages to celebrate Lunar New Year together.

Parking: Free public parking is available in the museum lot and adjacent upper lot, with additional street parking nearby on Friend Court and across the street by the Tea House Playground.
