Birthday Party Rentals Available
Reserve a Birthday PartyThe Wenham Museum offers birthday party rentals on Saturdays and Sundays!
Rate: $350 for Members | $425 for Non-Members
Birthday party rentals include access to all museum galleries and the first floor of the historic house, use of the function hall with tables and chairs, and up to 45 guests. Rentals are available for 2 hours from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. or from 1 – 3 p.m. Party hosts may arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled rental time for set-up.

Weather Closings
In the event of current or forecasted inclement weather, the Wenham Museum may need to close its galleries and gift shop. If the Hamilton-Wenham Schools are closed due to inclement weather, the museum will be closed. All weather-related closings will be posted on the museum’s this page, wenhammuseum.org/visit, and within the red information bar located at the top of the website. Closures will also be posted on the museum’s Facebook page at Facebook.com/WenhamMuseum.
If the museum needs to close due to weather, the museum will contact all reservation holders impacted by the closure. All reservations will be refunded or rescheduled.

Holiday Closures
Easter Sunday, Patriot’s Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July Weekend: July 2 – 5, 2022, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day.
Family-Friendly Amenities
Strollers are welcome. Changing tables are located in all restrooms. Snacks may be eaten in designated areas of the museum or outdoors. A playground is located across the street from the museum behind the Wenham Tea House.
Handicapped Accessibility
The museum is handicapped accessible, with the exception of the second floor of the Claflin-Gerrish-Richards House. Limited handicap parking next to the museum.
Historic House
Admission includes self-guided visits to the first floor of the historic Claflin-Gerrish-Richards House. Families are encouraged to visit the house which offers hands-on activities for all ages.

Driving
From points south:
Take Route 128 North to Exit 45-A (formerly 20-A)(Route 1A North – Hamilton).
Follow Route 1A north for 2.3 miles.
The Museum is on the right before the Wenham Town Hall.
From points north:
Take Route 95 South to Route 128 North.
Then follow the directions as above.
Public Transportation
The MBTA Commuter Rail on the Newburyport-Rockport Line is accessible to Wenham. Get off at the Hamilton stop which is just north of the town of Wenham.
Take the 15-minute scenic walk south from the depot along Route 1A to the museum.
Free parking
Includes limited handicap parking next to the museum. The parking lot is a free public lot with additional parking in an adjacent upper lot.
