|Recurring Event (See all)

One event on May 14, 2022 at 1:00 pm

Pysanky, a Ukrainian Easter egg, is a traditional folk art that, according to legend, prevent bad things from happening in the world… as long as enough are made! In this workshop you will learn to make these intricately decorated eggs using the wax-resist method of dying.

This workshop is for older artists (age 12 – adult) who will use a candle to melt wax and a special tool, called a kitska, to decorate the eggs. All supplies will be provided.

Space is limited, so make sure to reserve your spot soon!

A portion of the proceeds will benefit Razom, an organization raising funds to provide critically needed medical supplies to Ukraine.
