FOR FAMILIES: Enjoy Ten Days of Family-Friendly Activities Inspired by the Classic Holiday Cookie
FOR GROWN-UPS: Join us for a “Taste of Ginger” and Cookbook Signing of In Cod We Trust by Heather Atwood on Thursday, December 17
The Wenham Museum’s annual gingerbread contest of edible structures on a train layout is looking for a few good bakers!!!
This year’s theme is It Takes a Gingerbread Village. We invite our visitors, members, neighbors, school groups, scout troops, senior centers, after-school programs, book groups, fellowship groups and anyone who is interested to build a gingerbread structure.
In the past, we have had entries made from graham crackers and boxed kits, but also amazing feats of edible architecture and highly detailed replicas of local landmarks. All creations are welcome! The contest runs from December 10 to 20, 2015. Structures should be made of all edible materials, fit on a 18” x 18” board, and be delivered to the museum by Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at 5 p.m.
If you are interested in carving out some time in your autumn schedule to participate in this celebration of our community, please contact Mary McDonald, Audience Engagement and Education, at the Wenham Museum via e-mail (mary.mcdonald @ wenhammuseum.org) or by phone at (978) 468-2377, ext. 119.
