Milliner’s Shop

Many store owners live above their shops, and if they are lucky, they may have an extra room to use as their own art studio, or to rent to another artist.

Such is the case with this lovely shop that Nancy created where ladies can stop in to buy hats, shoes, and accessories – and true to Nancy’s whimsy, even bunny slippers!

Just above the shop is the proprietor’s home with a comfortable bed and cozy chair for relaxing after a day’s work, and above that is the spare room that has become an art studio. As in Nancy’s other works, cats found their way into this miniature world.

Although Nancy was a skilled painter herself, the artist who created the painter’s tools and materials in the art studio is Jill Renee Marquis, the painting leaning against the table is behind the cat Nancy’s work.
