Garret
Although this room box was built from a kit, the interior is all Nancy.
The walls are bare except for the insulation made from old newspapers, and the objects are piled up willy-nilly, just as in most of our own attics. Although most of the spaces Nancy created look as though someone has just stepped away, this one seems to be one that no one is in very much – the dirt and cobwebs attest to that.
The baskets, trunks, paintings, books, etc. that are stored here evoke forgotten moments of a family’s life. They seem to be waiting for someone to return and have an “Aha!” moment come with a flood of memories.
In the meantime, the objects sit here, quietly gathering dust.
