250 for the 250th

In 2026, our nation will mark the 250th anniversary of the United States. At Wenham Museum, we are using this landmark year to explore America’s story through the lens of local history, family life, childhood, community, and the people whose everyday experiences shaped the world we live in today.

About the Campaign

Our 250 for the 250th Campaign invites 250 donors to give $250 in support of Wenham Museum during this historic anniversary year.

Your gift will help fund the Museum’s exhibitions, educational programs, collections care, and the reinterpretation of the Claflin-Gerrish-Richards House, one of Wenham’s most significant historic homes. These efforts will allow us to share more inclusive, engaging, and meaningful stories with visitors of all ages throughout the America 250 commemoration.

This campaign is about more than a milestone. It is about investing in the future of local history. As communities across the country reflect on 250 years of American life, Wenham Museum has an important role to play in helping families, students, and visitors understand how national history connects to the people, homes, choices, and communities right here on the North Shore.

Your support makes this work possible in real time.

Make your gift of $250 today and be one of 250 donors helping Wenham Museum commemorate America’s 250th anniversary.

Together, we can preserve the past, inspire curiosity, and bring history to life for the next generation!
