Moving & Grooving

Join High Street Studios at Wenham Museum for Moving and Grooving, a 4-week music and movement class designed for children and their caregivers! Each 30-minute session is packed with fun activities that foster gross and fine motor skills, explore concepts of space, time, and energy, and enhance social skills in a nurturing environment. Through movement improvisation, children are encouraged to express themselves freely.

Here’s what we’ll be exploring each week:

• July 10: From Head to Toes! We’ll dive into the wonderful world of Eric Carle’s “From Head to Toes,” moving our bodies just like the animals in the book!
• July 17: A Day at the Beach! Get ready for some seaside fun as we imagine a day at the beach through movement and music.
• July 24: Moving Like a Bubble! We’ll explore floating, popping, and drifting as we learn to move with the lightness and freedom of a bubble.
• July 31: Soaring Like a Bird! It’s time to take flight! We’ll stretch our wings and soar through imaginative movements inspired by birds.
