SUMMARY:Tour: The Patton Family in New England
DESCRIPTION:The Patton Family in New England Tour chronicles the life and legacy of one of America’s premier military families who resided here on Boston’s North Shore. On the tour\, you will see four rooms within the Patton Homestead that are filled with military memorabilia\, family heirlooms\, photography\, books\, and papers that comprise a collection known as the Patton Family Archives. These Archives are also an untapped\, unparalleled resource regarding the service and sacrifice of Maj. Gen. Patton and his troops during the Korean and Vietnam Wars and that of his wife\, Joanne Holbrook Patton\, on the home front. \nGuided tours are offered at select dates and times and are available only by advanced online reservation through the Wenham Museum. Tours are approximately 90 minutes in length and include time for questions. Payment is required at the time of booking. \nTours are $15.00 for members of the Wenham Museum and $20.00 for nonmembers. Active Military and Veteran tour tickets are $10.00. Tour tickets also and include General Admission to the museum’s main location at 132 Main Street\, Wenham\, Massachusetts. \nGroups\nGroup tours are available for parties of 6 or more on a mutually agreeable date at time. We kindly ask for two weeks lead time for scheduling groups. Please contact the museum at info@wenhammuseum.org or (978) 468-2377\, ext. 113 to inquire. \nParking & Accessibility\nPublic parking is available in gravel lot located next to the Homestead. There is an incline to walk from the parking lot to the Homestead. We regret that at this time\, the Archives and the Homestead are not fully handicapped accessible. Restrooms are available within the Homestead. \nTour Location\nPaton Family Archives\nPatton Homestead\n650 Asbury Street\, Hamilton\, MA \nThe Wenham Museum owns and operates the Patton Family Archives. The museum leases space within the Patton Homestead to display the Archives. \nInclement Weather\nPlease be aware that in the event of inclement weather\, the tours may be cancelled and rescheduled for a later date. On the tour\, you will see four rooms within the Patton Homestead that are filled with military memorabilia\, family heirlooms\, photography\, books\, and papers that comprise a collection known as the Patton Family Archives. These Archives are also an untapped\, unparalleled resource regarding the service and sacrifice of Maj. Gen. Patton and his troops during the Korean and Vietnam Wars and that of his wife\, Joanne Holbrook Patton\, on the home front. \nGuided tours are offered at select dates and times and are available only by advanced online reservation through the Wenham Museum. Tours are approximately 90 minutes in length and include time for questions. Payment is required at the time of booking. \nTours are $15.00 for members of the Wenham Museum and $20.00 for nonmembers. Active Military and Veteran tour tickets are $10.00. Tour tickets also and include General Admission to the museum’s main location at 132 Main Street\, Wenham\, Massachusetts. \nGroups\nGroup tours are available for parties of 6 or more on a mutually agreeable date at time. We kindly ask for two weeks lead time for scheduling groups. DESCRIPTION:**RAIN UPDATE:  Fairy Festival – Saturday\, June 3\, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.**\nDue to inclement weather\, this year’s Fairy Festival will be an indoor event!  Because of the large size of the Fairy Festival\, the museum will be open for this special event only.  Limited tickets for the Fairy Festival are available in advance online ($22 for Members and $28 for Nonmembers) and $30 per person at the door on the day of the event as space permits. \nNote:  Due to the weather and the lack of indoor seating for dining\, the food truck will not be able to attend this event this year. \nIf you are intending to visit only to see the trains or other exhibitions\, Fairy Festival ticketing rates will still apply to your visit.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. \nJoin us for our annual Fairy Festival on Saturday\, June 3\, 2023 starting at 10:00 a.m.!\nThe Fairy Festival returns to the Wenham Museum again this year.
