DESCRIPTION:On January 15th\, registration goes live Wenham Museum and WVIS members to enroll in summer camp\, Camp Whirlygig!  Enrollment for the general public opens on January 21st. \nCamp Whirlygig is a summer camp at the Wenham Museum in partnership with the Wenham Village Improvement Society (WVIS).  Geared to young campers ages 4 -10\, Camp Whirlygig fosters fun\, friendship\, and curiosity.  With a 1:5 counselor to camper ratio\, a caring and supportive environment will create a comfortable summer camp experience for younger children. \nYoung campers will enjoy open-ended\, child-centered arts enrichment in studio art\, dance and drama; explorations related to museum exhibitions\, local history\, and culture; STEM and STEAM experiments; mindfulness and movement experiences designed to support emotional development; outdoor recreation and games; tennis; free play on the playground; and friendship-building activities within camper groups. \nThere is a half day or a full day option for camp.  Early drop-off and late pick-up is available.  Camp runs for six weeks from Monday\, July 1st (no camp on July 4th & 5th) through Friday\, August 9th. \nExplore the details\, tuition\, and enrollment on our camp page by clicking here.

DESCRIPTION:On January 15th\, registration goes live Wenham Museum and WVIS members to enroll in summer camp\, Camp Whirlygig!  Enrollment for the general public opens on January 21st. \nCamp Whirlygig is a summer camp at the Wenham Museum in partnership with the Wenham Village Improvement Society (WVIS).  Geared to young campers ages 4 -10\, Camp Whirlygig fosters fun\, friendship\, and curiosity.  With a 1:5 counselor to camper ratio\, a caring and supportive environment will create a comfortable summer camp experience for younger children. \nYoung campers will enjoy open-ended\, child-centered arts enrichment in studio art\, dance and drama; explorations related to museum exhibitions\, local history\, and culture; STEM and STEAM experiments; mindfulness and movement experiences designed to support emotional development; outdoor recreation and games; tennis; free play on the playground; and friendship-building activities within camper groups. \nThere is a half day or a full day option for camp.  Early drop-off and late pick-up is available.  Camp runs for six weeks from Monday\, July 1st (no camp on July 4th & 5th) through Friday\, August 9th. \nExplore the details\, tuition\, and enrollment on our camp page by clicking here.

DESCRIPTION:Program Details\nFriday\, February 23\, 2024\n11 AM (SOLD OUT)\, 11:30 AM (SOLD OUT)\, 12:00 PM\, or 12:30 PM \n\n$10 Member Children/Adults/Seniors\n$14 Nonmember Children/Adults/Seniors\n\nAdvanced Reservations Required for each 30 minute presentation \nLet’s learn about whales! Walk inside a giant\, inflatable humpback whale to learn more about these magnificent creatures. Learning about whales is also a great way to think critically about what you can do to help the wild world and our oceans. \nProgram participants will be sent an introductory video prior to the program date about whales and The Whalemobile. (This video will also be available for viewing inside the museum.) On February 24th\, participants will have a 30 minute visit seated inside a giant\, inflatable humpback whale with a naturalist and educator to learn about whales. SUMMARY:Celebrate the Year of the Dragon
DESCRIPTION:Welcome the Year of the Dragon and celebrate the Lunar New Year!  Learn about the origins of Chinese traditions such as dances\, lanterns\, lucky tangerines\, and rattle drums through crafts and performance \nWe are excited to welcome a company of youth performers from the “Wakefield Lions” to perform the Lion Dance in honor of the New Year.  The Lion Dance is meant to attract good luck and chase away evil spirits for the upcoming year. \nNote:  This program will be held in the function hall at the First Church of Wenham\, which is across the street from the Wenham Museum.  This is because the LEGO Train will be setting up in our space for the weekend!  You may park on Arbor Street next to the First Church or in the Wenham Museum/Town Hall lot and cross Rt. 1A.  There is a light and crosswalk at the Post Office\, which we highly recommend you use to cross the street! \nThis is a FREE community event!  Crafts will be available while supplies last.

DESCRIPTION:On January 15th\, registration goes live Wenham Museum and WVIS members to enroll in summer camp\, Camp Whirlygig!  Enrollment for the general public opens on January 21st. \nCamp Whirlygig is a summer camp at the Wenham Museum in partnership with the Wenham Village Improvement Society (WVIS).  Geared to young campers ages 4 -10\, Camp Whirlygig fosters fun\, friendship\, and curiosity.  With a 1:5 counselor to camper ratio\, a caring and supportive environment will create a comfortable summer camp experience for younger children. \nYoung campers will enjoy open-ended\, child-centered arts enrichment in studio art\, dance and drama; explorations related to museum exhibitions\, local history\, and culture; STEM and STEAM experiments; mindfulness and movement experiences designed to support emotional development; outdoor recreation and games; tennis; free play on the playground; and friendship-building activities within camper groups. \nThere is a half day or a full day option for camp.  Early drop-off and late pick-up is available.  Camp runs for six weeks from Monday\, July 1st (no camp on July 4th & 5th) through Friday\, August 9th. \nExplore the details\, tuition\, and enrollment on our camp page by clicking here.
