SUMMARY:Silhouette Portraits
DESCRIPTION:Capture your child in silhouette!  Portraits in Silhouettes will once again be at the museum this November. Reserve a time for a sitting on Saturday\, November 18 between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Each sitting is 15 minutes and each child must have their own time.  \nThe cost is $79 per child and you receive two silhouettes of your child\, one facing right and one facing left. Additional copies of portraits are $25 and may be purchased the day of the sitting. More than one child? Reserve two time slots back-to-back.  \nPortraits In Silhouette is the combined expertise of silhouette artists and mother-daughter team\, Jean Comerford and Marcella Comerford-Foley. Portraits In Silhouette is focused on bringing you original\, personalized work\, full of inventive detail and creative spark. Their silhouettes are never produced with a digital program\, copied\, or traced. You can expect a genuine\, handcut\, and individual portrait each time\, with consideration for the subject’s character and those great details – capturing “what makes them who they are.” Whether that is a signature hairstyle\, a cowlick\, the way they hold their mouth\, a bow-tie\, or glasses\, we love to bring out the personality in our portraits!

DESCRIPTION:Pumpernickel Puppets will be visiting the Wenham Museum this holiday season with two stories\, The Three Billy Goats Gruff and The Lion and the Mouse on Tuesday\, December 26\, 2023 at 10:30am.  \n$10 Members and $14 Nonmembers – tickets required for all participants ages 2 and up. \nAdvanced Registration Required  \nPumpernickel Puppet shows are presented with a cast of colorful puppet characters\, audience participation\, live voices and sound effects and fast paced scripts that not only entertain but stimulate children’s imagination and creativity. Walk inside a giant\, inflatable humpback whale to learn more about these magnificent creatures. Learning about whales is also a great way to think critically about what you can do to help the wild world and our oceans. \nProgram participants will be sent an introductory video prior to the program date about whales and The Whalemobile. (This video will also be available for viewing inside the museum.) On February 24th\, participants will have a 30 minute visit seated inside a giant\, inflatable humpback whale with a naturalist and educator to learn about whales.
