SUMMARY:M is for Museum & Poppets Playdates: Snow Daze!
DESCRIPTION:Join us for this month’s M is for Museum and Poppets Playdates programs!  This February\, we’ll read stories about snow and ice. \nOur Poppets friends will read Mice on Ice by Rebecca Emberley and Ed Emberley.  In this story\, mice skate on ice. As they skate\, their blades leave lines that depict a cat. Magically\, the cat appears\, color\, graphic\, and three-dimensional. What happens next? Why\, the cat and the mice skate together! \nOur M is for Museum friends will read Cozy by Jan Brett.  This story is about Cozy\, the softest musk ox in Alaska\, with the warmest fur you ever did feel. When a storm hits while he’s separated from his family\, he starts to feel lonely—but not for long. As the snow piles up\, animals start to notice just how warm and cozy Cozy really is. Luckily\, signs of spring soon appear\, and that means Cozy can find his herd and his new friends can head to their summer homes. But not before promising to get cozy with Cozy next year! \nAfter we read\, we’ll do some ice painting together. Our paintings might remind us of the cold blue ice that the mice skate on\, or the beautiful winter skies over Cozy and her friends. \nNote: At present\, we are planning this as an in-person program inside the Wenham Museum with open windows in the program space. If necessary\, we will pivot to an online or virtual program as the date approaches. \nM is for Museum & Poppets Playdates\nPoppets Playdates\, 18 mos.+\, 9:30 a.m.\nM is for Museum\, 2.9 years+\, 10:30 a.m.\nFriday\, February 11\, 2022\nIncluded with Admission\nFree for Members\nFree for Residents of Hamilton\, Wenham\, Manchester or Essex with advanced registration. \nSponsored by Early Childhood Partners.
