Many thanks to all of you who have logged on to Miss Columbia's web site and asked all those great questions.

I hope you had a good time with Miss Columbia at your school. The map in Miss Columbia 1900's coat is of California. Fallbrook is circled because this replica of the original Miss Columbia (who traveled in 1900-1902) was made by a doll artist who lives there.

The journal that has been traveling with the new Miss Columbia this fall and winter was lost somewhere between Groton and Manchester, CT. Fortunately we have most of the entries on the web site, so all is not entirely lost. We're in the process of making up a new journal to continue on with Miss Columbia.

Any kind of souvenir from Buckley School would be great, especially something that represents or is a symbol of your community. What would help Miss Columbia remember her visit to Buckley School?

Thank you, too, for your note. You can read all about Miss Columbia's trip thus far by clicking on 1999-2002 Journal here at this web site and clicking on "Read Entries." So far, Miss Columbia has only visited schools in Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island, but by at the end of 2001 she will have visited over 20 states. Her itinerary is being finalized right now. Please visit the web site in a couple of weeks to see an updated listing.

I hope you can contribute to Miss Columbia's journal entry from Sumner Avenue School!

Thanks for your concern. Thankfully I was found in Hartford, CT, and rushed to the Buckley School. I was only two days late. I hope to make up the lost time at Buckley sometime in the future!
