Public Transportation

There will not be any MBTA train service to our area for most of the summer. Train service on weekends will be suspended for the entire Newburyport/Rockport Commuter Rail Line from July 8 to Sept. 30 to install Positive Train Control (PTC) systems. In addition to that, the replacement of the swing span bridge that connects the commuter rail line between Beverly and Salem will require a complete 28-day shutdown from July 17 to Aug. 13 which means that there will not be any train service to Hamilton-Wenham during that period of time.  Please visit the MBTA’s website for further information.

In September the MBTA Commuter Rail on the Newburyport-Rockport Line will once again be available to Hamilton-Wenham. Get off at the Hamilton stop.
Take the 15-minute scenic walk south from the depot along Route 1A.
